Privacy Policy for SnapRecaller

What SnapRecaller stores, and where

When you save a screenshot, SnapRecaller stores the following locally on your device, inside the app’s private storage container:

• The screenshot image itself
• The note attached to it (either typed by you, or generated on your device — see below)
• The reminder time you set, and the text you typed to set it
• Whether the reminder is marked done, and when it was saved

This data is only accessible to SnapRecaller and its share extension. It is never uploaded anywhere. SnapRecaller has no servers, and the app contains no networking code of any kind.

What SnapRecaller does not collect

• No personal information — no name, email address, phone number, or account of any kind
• No usage analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry
• No advertising identifiers, and no tracking across apps or websites
• No location data
• No contacts, calendars, or health data
• No access to your photo library — SnapRecaller only ever receives the single image you explicitly share to it

On-device AI note suggestions

If you don’t write your own note, SnapRecaller can suggest one by reading the text visible in your screenshot. This uses Apple’s Vision framework and Apple’s on-device Foundation Models, both of which run entirely on your iPhone. Your screenshot and its contents are never sent to a server, to us, or to any AI provider.

This feature requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence. On other devices, SnapRecaller falls back to simpler on-device text extraction. Either way, nothing leaves your phone.

Notifications

Reminders are delivered using local notifications scheduled by iOS on your device. A copy of the relevant screenshot is attached to the notification so you can recognise it. No notification data is sent through any server, including Apple’s push notification service.

Purchases

SnapRecaller offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock unlimited reminders. Payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. SnapRecaller never sees or stores your payment details. The app only receives a confirmation from Apple of whether the purchase is active.

Apple’s handling of purchase data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your device until you remove it:

• Deleting a reminder in SnapRecaller also deletes its saved screenshot
• The “delete all done reminders” action deletes those reminders and their screenshots
• Deleting the SnapRecaller app removes all of its stored data from your device

Because nothing is ever uploaded, there is no server-side copy for us to delete, and no data export to request — you already hold the only copy.

Children

SnapRecaller is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised “last updated” date above.
